Buy a nice loaf of French or Italian bread & cut it into cubes. Spray the cubes of bread with olive oil spray & lots of garlic juice. I used Garlic Valley Farms. Toss the cubes while spraying them. Sprinkle with salt. Bake at 350*until they are as crisp as you like, usually about 10 to 15 minutes. Stir & bake another 10 minutes. These are the best croutons ever.

4 cups All purpose flour 1 tablespoon double acting baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups water 1 cup vegetable oil

In a bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, & the salt. Stir in the water & knead the mixture on a floured surface until it forms a soft but not sticky dough. Let the dough stand, covered with a kitchen towel for 15 minutes. Pull off egg size pieces of the dough & stretch them into 1/4 inch thick rounds. Poke a hole with your finger through the center of each round so that the bread will fry evenly. In a large heavy skillet heat the oil over medium high heat until it is hot but not smoking. Fry the rounds 1 or 2 at a time for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown. Transfer them to a plate with paper towels to drain.
